Your patients interested in fertility preservation

At Pacific NW Fertility's Center for Fertility Preservation, we are committed to offering the most advanced fertility preservation options for both men and women. The choice to preserve your fertility may result from a personal decision to delay pregnancy or perhaps you have been referred to us by your oncologist following a cancer diagnosis.

Egg Freezing

Egg Freezing, or oocyte cryopreservation is available at Pacific NW Fertility as an option for fertility preservation and may be used by qualifying patients who wish to delay childbearing for any reason. Previously, the most common reason women chose egg freezing was in the setting of a cancer diagnosis. But as technology has improved, the number of women choosing to freeze their eggs as a means to delay child-bearing for other reasons is steadily rising. Fertility decreases with age beginning at 30, and by age 40 the chances of spontaneous pregnancy are less than 50% of what they were at age 30. Elective fertility preservation offers the option of freezing and storing eggs at a younger age, allowing a woman to choose when she is ready for a family. In general, it is best considered for women under age 37 who have good a egg supply (ovarian reserve).

Embryo Cryopreservation with a freeze all cycle is an IVF cycle in which the patient receives gonadotropin medications to stimulate her ovaries to produce multiple mature eggs, the eggs are retrieved and fertilized with sperm, but no embryos are transferred. The embryos are frozen and will be transferred in a future frozen embryo transfer cycle.

Sperm Cryopreservation

Sperm cryopreservation (freezing) may be done for several reasons: cancer patients preparing to undergo radiation or chemotherapy, which potentially destroy sperm production, patients who are electing to have a vasectomy but wish to have sperm stored, and patients who are expecting to be unavailable at the time of insemination and wish to store sperm for their partner’s use.

To refer your male patient for elective sperm cryopreservation prior to vasectomy or the start of cancer treatment or other procedure that may affect his future fertility, please call our Andrology Lab at 206-515-0002, or simply complete this Andrology Order Form and fax to the number provided. We will schedule your patient for one or more collections, as needed and as time allows before any scheduled procedures. Results will be faxed back to your office for patient follow-up.

As always, very kind and professional. I'm impressed that I feel personally attended to. Also you guys are always on time.
