Minimal Stimulation IVF

PNWF offers Minimal Stimulation IVF to our patients. High dose injectable gonadotropins are replaced with less powerful oral medications, a low dose of injectable gonadotropins, or a combination of the two. In some patients this approach to IVF can be effective and have additional benefits like minimizing side effects and reducing the costs of medications

Each patient interested in Minimal Stimulation IVF, also referred to as mini-, micro-, or natural IVF, will have a full consultation and evaluation with their PNWF provider before this approach to treatment is commenced.

Though Minimal Stimulation IVF has become increasingly popular in recent years in the United States, some patients seeking this treatment option are not ideal candidates for these protocols. Because of this, an in depth conversation with your PNWF provider is imperative, reviewing the pros and cons of each approach to get to your desired outcome.

PNWF is committed to personalizing each patient’s treatment plan during the consultation and evaluation phase. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to reproductive medicine in our view. With that in mind, we look forward to discussing with you all of your options before finalizing your treatment plan.

My partner and I went to PNWF because of the positive stance they take on assisting the LGBT community build families. Our primary provider is wonderful. From the get-go, the doctor made us feel comfortable, she took the time to answer all of our questions, and it felt like we were friends talking about fertility treatment, not numbers on a chart. Our doctor, over the course of our treatment, really got to know our personalities too, which was great. I prefer scientific explanations and my partner prefers brief, "give me the short version" explanations. I mention this because the fact that she got to know us in that way really made us feel like she cared about us personally as well as the outcome of our treatment and our family.
